Iris pseudacorus var. bastardii (pale yellow flag)

Iris pseudacorus var. bastardii is a variant of the native Yellow flag iris.  It has pale yellow flowers, strong greyish green leaves and is vigorous but less invasive than the Yellow flag.  Flowers during Jun and July.  Propagate by division in Spring or Autumn or by seed collected from the seed pods in Autumn.  Good for bees and hoverflies looking for nectar.
