It does significantly increase the softness, warmth, and durability of the product due to the way the garment is woven together.Which is better? 2 PLY or 4 PLY? 2 PLY means two sets of cashmere thread are warped together to make one single thread while in 4 PLY, 4 sets of cashmere thread are warped together to make one thread. Hence, more amount of cashmere shall be present in 4 PLY than 2 PLY. Thus, 4 PLY cashmere threads are stronger and more durable than 2 PLY. The knitting done in 4 PLY is tight while in 2 PLY can be a bit lost. PLY’s thickness needs to be considered, depending upon how cushions are handled at home.
