That translates to approximately 1.25 inches, plus the French wire. The ear wire is solid brass. The pair weighs 8 grams together. Four grams per earring doesn’t seem like much, but if you have sensory sensitivity issues, it can be taxing. Just something for you to keep in mind.Brass will patina eventually. I have added a high quality protective coating which will delay patina changes and limit skin contact reactivity for those with metal sensitivities for a time.
