This commemorated the 225th anniversary of the Austrian composer’s birth. The stamp was issued as “a special postage block stamp ‘225 years since the birth of Franz Schubert'” , indicating it was released in a souvenir sheet format rather than as individual stamps. This stamp was part of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s official 2022 postal program and represents their tribute to one of the most important composers of the Romantic era. Franz Schubert (1797-1828) was known for his symphonies, chamber music, piano works, and particularly his art songs (Lieder).
